It is the generosity of local businesses that makes it possible for The Carpenter’s Arms to offer the breadth of support it does. One such supporter is The Fleet Auction Group who, over the Christmas period, helped us create a truly special festive season for our residents.
Thanks to their support, we were able to provide a Christmas meal for residents across all phases of our programme, ensuring everyone could sit down and enjoy a proper festive dinner. Phase 3 residents received festive food hampers, which supported them in planning and cooking their own Christmas dinners as part of their ongoing journey towards independence.
The Fleet Auction Group’s donation also funded gifts for residents, with a £30 allowance per person to spend in a way that felt meaningful to them, whether that was buying presents for their children or loved ones, or choosing something for themselves.
Beyond Christmas Day itself, The Fleet Auction Group’s contribution enabled us to organise fun activities. Residents were treated to a cinema trip, offering a chance to relax, connect, and enjoy time together outside of the programme.
Rehabilitation can be especially challenging during the festive period, and support for addiction services is not always something people think to give. We would like to offer our sincere thanks to The Fleet Auction Group for their generous support, and for consciously choosing to fund experiences and support for people in recovery. Their generosity helped ensure our residents felt supported, considered, and able to enjoy the season in ways that mattered to them.
