We’re delighted that the new Mayor of Charnwood Cllr David Northage has chosen The Carpenter’s Arms as one of two charities for his year in office 2025-26.
CEO of The Carpenter’s Arms Richard Spence, who attended the Mayor of Charnwood’s inauguration in May, said:
“We are absolutely delighted that the Mayor has selected The Carpenter’s Arms as one of his chosen charities for his term in office. This is a tremendous privilege and an exciting opportunity for us to raise more awareness of our cause.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the Mayor’s support and look forward to working closely with him throughout the year ahead.”
The Mayor will be supporting The Carpenter’s Arms at its outdoor swim at Swim Six Hills on Friday, 27th June. Topic for discussion at the event will be the role of mental resilience in physical performance. Richard Spence will be joined by former Mayor of Charnwood and World Record Swimmer Cllr Dr. Julie Bradshaw MBE for an outdoor swim and Q&A session.
