We’re planning to sell honey and honey byproducts, produced by resident bees at The Carpenter’s Arms.
A total of 100 beehives are planned – 50 at Six Hills (partway between Melton Mowbray and Loughborough) and a further 50 on a site in Melton Mowbray (where a significant amount of land has been made available for our use).
We anticipate the first harvest of honey to be available in the autumn, 2026.
Could you help our bees project take flight?
In order to fund the set-up costs of the project, we are inviting local businesses to sponsor one of our initial 20 beehives.
In return for a one-off investment of £500, you will receive the following as a founder supporter:
- Your own beehive, with the satisfaction that its output will only grow year on year.
- A gift of the first pot of honey from your designated hive.
- Favourable rates on future honey.
- Positive PR, demonstrating to your suppliers, customers and the wider community that you stand alongside our work in drug and alcohol addiction recovery and on sustainability, through:
-
-
- The Carpenter’s Arms PR and comms channels (our website, quarterly newsletter, annual celebration event and socials) and partner channels such as East Midlands Chamber.
-
-
-
- Your own channels. A Six Hills Honey founder logo will be awarded to you to use in your promotions.
-
-
-
- (For a small additional fee), a personalised, engraved sign of your company name on your hive.
