The Carpenter’s Arms is delighted to welcome Mrs Henrietta Chubb DL, former High Sheriff of Leicestershire, as its Patron.

Henrietta has been a long-standing supporter of the charity’s work to support the rehabilitation of men struggling with addiction. She brings significant experience from previous trustee and patron roles, as well as from her voluntary work in the criminal justice system in Leicestershire where she has seen firsthand the devastation of addiction.
Commenting on her appointment as Patron, Henrietta said: “The Carpenter’s Arms offers a valuable lifeline to men at their lowest ebb, giving them the confidence and self-belief to turn their lives around. Alongside its rehabilitation programme, the charity is active in so many other areas – green initiatives like Malone Meadows and caring for the resident flock of 45 chickens, setting up community interest organisations to plough proceeds back into the charity, and working with local businesses on resident employability. It really is an exciting time to be part of the charity.”
CEO of The Carpenter’s Arms, Richard Spence, added: “Henrietta plays an active role in the Leicestershire community, across crime prevention agencies and the voluntary and public sectors, and we’re thrilled she will be lending her name to our charity, raising awareness of our plans through her wider network.”
